The Brown Government

Gordon Brown told the UK (and world leaders) that he had saved British Citizens on 9th of October 2008 when his Chancellor forced the Kaupthing UK bank into liquidation. He had not. In fact, Alistair Darling had thrown thousands of British Citizens into hell. And then had locked the door.

The unelected ‘leader’ Gordon Brown then went on to tell the British public that he had to stay in office because British Citizens needed him. When the British public (despite the almost-as-bad alternatives) showed they didn’t, he clung to power like a third rate dictator until the last possible moment. Let’s hope the world never has to hear the voice of Gordon Brown ever again.

Cherie Blair was right when she was heard by a journalist calling Gordon Brown a liar at a Labour Party conference (which she later denied when asked). Gordon Brown has to go down in history as the worst Prime Minister the UK has had since Ted Heath. Thatcher was bad enough, but Brown certainly takes the biscuit.

Thousands of British citizens are still in sheer hell two years on, it was the Gordon Brown government that put them there and it was the Gordon Brown government that refused to even acknowledge the facts, let alone sort out the mess it caused! Shame on the UK Labour Party.

The shame of Lord Myners

As Paul Myners sat on his high horse and flicked threats at Iceland he ignored the damage being inflicted on innocent British citizens by his own Chancellor Alistair Darling!

Myners conveniently forgot that it was the Blair/Brown/Darling Government who brought out 'Know your customer' rules in 2007 that meant overseas Brits could no longer open or maintain UK bank accounts.

Myners didnt notice that it was the UK's Financial Services Authority who advised the Isle of Man KSF bank to put huge sums in a bank it knew was dodgy.

Myners seems or overlook that it was his Chancellor, Alistair Darling, who ignored the Brits who had been forced to use offshore banks when he forced the London Kaupthing Hf bank into liquidation.

Myners joined in the cynical cover ups that the Darling/McCarthy-Fry/Pearson/Sants used to ignore the dreadful plight of the British people plunged into desperation by Darling’s bungling.

And he calls himself a 'Lord', shame on the Queen for making such a terrible man a Lord..

On the 25th of May 2010, Mr Bob Russell copied his Early Day Motion 474 into this new session of Parliament..

As with EDM 474, it read;

That this House recognises the decision by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) to revoke Kaupthing Singer & Friedlander UK's (KSF UK) deposit-taking licence led to the ultimate collapse of Kaupthing Singer & Friedlander Isle of Man (KSFIOM); notes that the decision taken by KSFIOM's directors to transfer over 50 per cent. of assets to KSF UK, which was approved by the Financial Supervision Commission following extensive consultation with the FSA, contravenes both UK and European banking practice; further recognises that some 3,000 KSFIOM depositors with savings above the £50,000 compensation threshold, many of whom are British pensioners, are yet to be fully recompensed; further notes that British offshore depositors remit tax to the UK via income declaration or withholding tax and are therefore deserving of action by the Government; asks the Government to intervene directly and calls on the Isle of Man authorities to ensure all depositors receive full compensation, in line with UK depositors; further calls on the 10 life companies that mis-sold over 1,000 bondholders in KSFIOM, a product offering capital security, low risk and regular income potential, to re-evaluate their businesses and marketing practices and recompense policyholders accordingly; and requests that the Ministry of Justice further investigates whether the Isle of Man has the necessary skills, experience or processes in place to ensure effective self-regulation, as well as the conflicts of interest of those holding positions in the Isle of Man's political, judicial, regulatory bodies and financial services industry.

63 MP's signed EDM 464 - Approximately 10% of UK MP's. This is an excellent demonstration that the UK Parliament is starting to recognise the dreadful actions of the Alistair Darling, Ian Pearson, Sarah McCarthy-Fry, Hector Sants and Baron Von Myners gang and their subsequent lies and coverup that mislead parliament and the British people. That 10% of Parliament signed EDM 474 in only the last few months of that awful Government shows the level of support for this issue. We urge people to contact their MP's and ask them to sign the EDM 63 to add their support to demonstrating the injustice that Alistair Darling did on the 9th of October 2008. Two years on, people are STILL suffering badly and it is entirely due to the actions of the British Government on the 9th of October 2008.
